At Muddy Water Lures, fishing isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life. Founded by Brett Rotz in South Central Pennsylvania, MWL was built from a simple passion: creating soft plastic lures that catch fish and are made for the waters we love.

We grew up fishing the Susquehanna River, testing lures, learning the water, and developing designs around the fish and forage we see every day. Our lures are hand-injected, but what really sets us apart is our colors. We don’t do simple colors just to fill a lineup. We match the hatch.

We spend days studying what fish are feeding on and developing colors to closely match the baitfish, insects, and natural forage found in the waters we fish. Every color we create is one we use ourselves, tested on the water and refined until we’re confident it can fool the fish we’re targeting.

From Susquehanna smallmouth to largemouth in farm ponds and trout in local streams, our goal is to give anglers unique, fish-catching colors and proven designs they can trust.

Our lures are sourced and made right here in America, with every bait crafted with attention to detail and built around real-world fishing.

We may not have a storefront, but you can find MWL at local retailers throughout the region or shop directly through our website. Supporting local anglers and small businesses has always been an important part of who we are.
